Volunteer Testamonials

“I spent one month volunteering at Link-up. The experience was awesome. The staff was very supportive and the people very friendly. I got the opportunity to travel to some remote areas and witness Link-Up in action, as well as help out. My time spent in Buea with Link-Up was memorable and I definitely plan on going back again for more." [read more]

Volunteer with us

Welcome

LINK-UP is an NGO situated in Buea, Cameroon. It focuses on providing a better future for orphan children by covering their tuition fees, books and other necessities needed for them to get a proper school education. LINK-UP is also supporting these children’s guardian parents with their basic needs to ensure these children are in a position where attending school will benefit them.

Vision

Our vision is to have a nation with a just educational, economic, and social system that will provide all children of low-income families and communities a chance to live a life free of poverty and full of opportunity.

Mission Statement

It is our aim to give those children who cannot afford the basic means to survive the opportunity to fulfill their full physical, intellectual, and spiritual potential. LINK-UP seeks to leverage the age-old African family support system already strained by large numbers of orphans and vulnerable children. We strive to support children and families by helping to provide education, nutrition and healthcare. These basic needs reduce the risk of poverty and unemployment later in life.

Sponsoring a child is an effective and viable way to hoist vulnerable children out of the vicious cycle of poverty, while credit lending enables individuals or families to initiate their own businesses for self-sustainability. In addition, Information Technology courses provide the necessary skills to subsist within the workforce in this day and age.
